Scholarships and Awards

1.   Entrance Scholarship
Entrance Scholarship of HK$42,500 each will be awarded to new entrants who meet the following awarding criteria:
-  HKDSE Level “3” or above in English Language or equivalent.
- ​ Final cGPA of not less than 3.50 in the 4.00 grading system in Associate Degree or equivalent.​
-  Very satisfactory comments from examiners at the admission interview.

2.   Academic Excellence Scholarship
Academic Scholarship of total $129,000 is available to 7 Year III (semester 1), 7 Year III (semester 2) and 7 Year IV students (semester 1) with excellent academic records in the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Accountancy.


3.   Metropolitan Attachment Programme (MAP) Scholarship 
An amount of maximum HK$10,000 each, depending on the programme fee, will be awarded to successful applicants in support of their participation in the MAP organized by the Office of Student Affairs.  Students who have proven financial difficulties would be given higher priority. Students must have cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above at the time of application and at the conclusion of the semester prior to the beginning of MAP.


4.  Exchange Scholarship and Award
An amount of maximum HK$20,000 each, depending on the region, will be awarded to successful applicants in support of their participation in the Student Exchange Programme (one semester or one year) or Summer Exchange Programmes recognized by the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Accountancy Programme Office.

Students who have proven financial difficulties would be given higher priority.

Exchange Scholarship: Students must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at the time of application and at the conclusion of the semester prior to the beginning of an exchange;
Exchange Award: Students must have cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above at the time of application and at the conclusion of the semester prior to the beginning of an exchange.


5.  Champion Scholarship
Scholarships of maximum HK$6,000 per student,  depending on the level of competition (international/ regional/ national/ local) and the format of competition (one-off/ knockout), will be awarded to students who won champion in competition recognized by the School.

6.  Competition Winning Students Award
Awards of HK$1,000 per student will be awarded to students who achieved outstanding rankings in business competitions recognized by the School.

7.  Awards for Outstanding Performance in the IELTS Test

8  Bursaries
Five bursaries each for Year III & Year IV students in proven financial needs and with semester GPA of at least 2.7.

9. Subsidies
- Full subsidy for the IELTS examination fee is available to Year IV students.
- Subsidy is also available to students enrolled in IETLS preparatory courses & Physical Education courses. 

10.  Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme
For 2012/13, the following scholarships will be available for students of the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Accountancy programme:
(1)   Outstanding Performance Scholarship (2 local students at $40,000 each or 1 non-local student at $80,000 each)
(2)  Talent Development Scholarship (2 students at $10,000 each)
(3)  Reaching Out Award (2 students at $10,000 each)
(4)  Best Progress Award
