HKBU Business School operates 3 academic support units that complement its pedagogic activities.
The Chinese Businesses Case Centre
The Chinese Businesses Case Centre (CBCC) endeavours to develop business cases derived from research that directly addresses issues prevailing within the business environment of Greater China, with the objective of incorporating these cases as teaching instruments both for the School as well as for other business schools. CBCC also holds special events such as business case competitions, conferences and seminars on topics such as ethics and social enterprises in China.
Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre
Established in 2016, the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre (EIC) aims at supporting the School’s entrepreneurship education. It offers seminars, workshops and related activities to encourage, cultivate, and nurture the entrepreneurial culture and atmosphere among students.
The Wing Lung Bank International Institute for Business Development
Hosted by the School since 1993, the Wing Lung Bank International Institute for Business Development (IIBD) supports a consortium of 18 universities in Australia, Canada, Sweden, Thailand, the Netherlands, the Philippines, the UK, the US and China. The IIBD's mission is to support the development and dissemination of international knowledge generated through collaboration between members. Besides organising activities such as study tours, exchange programmes and conferences, the IIBD is actively involved in the internationalisation efforts of the School, as it drives to identify potential international partners of the School.
