Spring Festival 2018

This Spring, the School of Business joins hands with the International Offices and the Office of Student Affairs to bring cultures from around the world to campus.
Themed “Beyond Boundaries”, the Spring Festival on 27 February 2018 will bring you food, beverage, music, and exciting performance across cultural boundaries.

Event Details

It’s time to showcase your talent. You will have four minutes to perform. The categories of your performance include but not limited to singing, dancing, instrumentals, comedy, drama, pantomiming, magic trick, etc.

You could enter the contest as a soloist or in group. 

You will earn bonus score if you enter the contest with international student(s).

Finalists chosen will perform at Amphitheatre (outside Pacific Coffee), Li Promenade, Shaw Campus on 27 February 2018 to compete for the grand prizes!

  • All HKBU students are eligible to participate in the Contest.
  • Bonus score will be given to group entry with international student(s).
Important Dates
  • Application Deadline: 6 February 2018 (Tuesday)
  • Finalist Notification: 7 February 2018 (Wednesday)
  • Rehearsal for finalists: 12 February 2018 (Monday)
  • Final Contest: 27 February 2018 (Tuesday) 19:00-20:30

Silver - HK$1,500
Bronze - HK$1,000
Audience Choice Award - HK$200
How to Apply
  • Register online on or before 6 February 2018.
  • You should submit your application along with a video of your performance, which could be uploaded to to Youtube / Vimeo / Google Drive / Dropbox or any other online platforms.
  • 10 finalists will be shortlisted. Final contestant will be notified by email on 7 February 2018.

  • Originality
  • Talent
  • Charisma
  • Showmanship
  • Creativity
Rules & Regulations
  • All acts must be 4 minutes or less.
  • Contestants could enter as individuals or groups. Group entries are limited to the maximum of 10 performers.
  • Contestants perform in the final contest must be the exact same performers of the videos submitted with the application.
