The School of Business officially welcomed 122 new members to the HKBU Chapter of the Beta Gamma Sigma Society at its Installation and First Induction Ceremony held on 29 October.

Professor Albert Chan, President and Vice-Chancellor, officiated at the ceremony. Mrs. Margaret Leung, Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive of Hang Seng Bank, HKBU Court Member and Honorary Associate of the HKBU Business School, was inducted as the first Honoree of the new Chapter in recognition of her outstanding managerial leadership in the banking industry and her service to the community in various capacities.

Mrs. Leung shared her personal experience of success with the new members and students during a dialogue session chaired by Professor Stephen Cheung, Dean of the School of Business. She encouraged students to embrace the five principles of a good work attitude: passion, perseverance, humility, caring and integrity. Mrs. Leung said that hard work, willingness to listen and to communicate, and life-long learning were the important means to success in the fast-changing commercial world.
