img HKBU School of Business supported the “Annual Conference – New Challenges for Directors of Listed Companies” as part of the concerted efforts to promote best practices of governance and sustainable development. Hosted by The Hong Kong Independent Non-Executive Director Association (“HKiNEDA”), the forum gathered directors from Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong for in-depth dialogue about the latest updates on major directors’ duties, including anti-money laundering, valuation in corporate transactions, IT security and anti-bribery.

Focusing on the hot issues surrounding directors' duties, the conference covered cases of misconduct by directors and senior executives of listed companies surfacing in recent years and causing concerns, allowing participating directors and management to better understand how to formulate and implement related policies and fulfil their duties.

The School of Business seeks to inspire good business practice through quality business education and research on corporate sustainability issues including business ethics, corporate social responsibility and corporate governance. The School offers postgraduate programmes in relevant areas for executive development.  For more details, please visit here.
