Addressing graduates, Prof. Ed Snape, Dean of the School of Business encouraged them to embrace change with open arms, “We are now living in a dynamic world which is moving at high speed with amazing technological advancement. Being versatile and exploring new challenges is important in this new era. With our liberal arts education, you are empowered to make sound decisions, adapting to the technological world while still preserving and celebrating humanity. The ability in each of you to embrace change with open arms will enable you to seize every single opportunity to make a difference.”
Bidding farewell to the four fruitful undergraduate years, Annie Lai (BBA) concluded the journey with her exchange experience. “The study abroad experience I had in Copenhagen and the international competitions I participated in during these four years have made me realise how important it is to step out of your comfort zone and grasp every opportunity. With passion, perseverance and supports, we will create a bright future and achieve our own success.”
Speaking as the representative of the postgraduate class of 2018, Veronica Fung (MSc in Strategic Human Resources Management) was thankful for a well-designed programme that differentiates its graduates from other practitioners. “HR is often undervalued, but the education we have received here has empowered us to become a strategic and professional business partner, making business impacts and changing the traditional perception of HR. Never stop questioning and keep digging until you find the root cause is the key to success.”
