International Postgraduate Scholarship
To enhance internationalisation and provide students with a global educational experience, an International Postgraduate Scholarship* is offered to outstanding international students. Scholarship recipients will get full tuition waiver plus HK$100,000 living allowance (approx. US$12,820). Eligible international applicants will be automatically considered for the scholarship based on their all-round record and interview performance. * The full-time study mode will not be available for the 2017-2018 academic year. Consequently, there will be no MScCGC international postgraduate scholarship.
HKBU MScCGC Award Scheme
The MSc in Corporate Governance and Compliance (MScCGC) programme offers a series of awards to encourage BU alumni to pursue advanced professional education and to motivate programme participants to strive for academic excellence.
An outstanding student is entitled to obtain all the awards listed below:
The MScCGC HKBU Alumni Entrance Award is worth HK$10,000 and 5 awards are available. Participants need to be (a) BU (including UIC) undergradaute alumni; (b) have a minimum of 3 years of work experience at enrollment; (c) have attained an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at the first trimester of the intake year (subject to no failed course grade);
The MScCGC Graduation Academic Awards are designed to reward students who have attained excellent scholastic performance in their MScCGC study at HKBU:
- Distinction Award: MScCGC students who have attained an overall cumulative GPA of 3.67 or above at graduation (subject to the same conditions applied to the University’s Distinction academic standing, i.e. no repeated courses and no course grade below B-) will be granted the Graduation Distinction Award of HK$10,000.
- Merit Award: MScCGC students who have attained an overall cumulative GPA of 3.40 to 3.66 (subject to no repeated courses and the same conditions applied to the University’s Merit academic standing) at graduation will be granted a certificate for the Graduation Merit Award.
The MScCGC HKBU Local Entrance Awards are targeted at local executives and professionals who aspire to master their knowledge and skills in best corporate governance practices. The award is worth an amount equivalent to 1/3 of the total programme fee of the intake year. Up to 3 awards are available each academic year. Participants (a) must be a local resident of Hong Kong at enrollment; (b) must have 5 years of work experience or above at enrollment; (c) must complete the whole programme within 2 academic years; and (d) able to maintain a minimum 3.33 GPA at graduation.
