The HKBU School of Business organises its first-ever Global Sports Days to promote closer integration and partnership in the HKBU community through two funny activities Fun Run and Football World Cup to be held on 20 February 2024 Tuesday and 12 April 2024 Friday respectively. Come and join us!

A. Fun Run (20 February 2024)

The School of Business is thrilled to announce that the HKBU School of Business Fun Run is back! This year, all HKBU students, faculty members and staff are welcome to take part in the event on 20 February 2024 Tuesday at 3:30 PM. It is an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow students, faculty members and staff outside the classroom and engage in a friendly competition. Whether you are a seasoned runner or a beginner, we invite you to participate and make this day a memorable one!

Event Details

Date: 20 February 2024 (Tuesday)

Time: 3:30 PM

Venue: Joint Sports Centre -> Baptist University Road Campus -> Kowloon Tsai Park -> Joint Sports Centre

Distance: Approximately 3.5km. For Team Challenge, three team-challenge games will be included.

  1.  All HKBU students, faculty members and staff are eligible to join
  2. Participants can join the race as a team with a maximum of 2 people or as an individual
  3. Each team must consist of either 2 HKBU students or 1 HKBU student plus 1 HKBU faculty/ staff
  4. Individual Challenge is ONLY open to HKBU business students

6 February 2024 Tuesday at 11:59 PM (Hong Kong Time)

Registration Fee

Entry fees are waived for HKBU business students, faculty members and staff, while other HKBU participants are required to pay a non-refundable entry fee of HK$100 (per person).

Finisher Souvenir

Each runner will receive an e-certificate upon completing the race.

Entry Souvenir

A unique event T-shirt will be given to each participant.

The size of the T-shirt is limited, the distribution is on a first-come, first-served basis.


Joint Sports Centre, Shaw Campus -> Baptist University Road Campus -> Kowloon Tsai Park -> Joint Sports Centre, Shaw Campus (around 3.5km)

The Fun Run route will take you through scenic locations, including Kowloon Tsai Park, before concluding at the Joint Sports Centre.

For Team Challenge, there will be three exciting games along the way.

B. Football World Cup (12 April 2024 Friday)

Sport is a global language that unites people from different cultures. The Global Engagement Section of HKBU School of Business has collaborated with the HKBU Hive Club to organise a Football World Cup on 12 April 2024 Friday morning to promote culture of intercultural interactions and sportsmanship. All HKBU business students are welcome to team up with their buddies, faculty members and staff to participate in the event and grap a chance to win cash prizes of up to HK$3,500!
