Admission Scholarships for International Postgraduate Students

Our full-time one-year business postgraduate programmes are now open to international applicants for the 2024/25 intake. Our admission scholarships listed in this webpage are designed to bring together talent from around the world and maximise diversity in the classroom. Competition for scholarships increases as the year progresses, so we recommend starting your application early.

Furthermore, in addition to the admission scholarships listed below, each programme may offer various graduation awards, course scholarships, business start-up awards and/or other merit-based awards at the time of graduation. International Postgraduate Scholarships (IPS)

Details

The HKBU School of Business is dedicated to student success across the world. The International Postgraduate Scholarships (IPS), covering full tuition fee waiver plus living allowance of approximately US$12,800, are merit awards for international students (with nationality outside Mainland China, Macau SAR and Hong Kong SAR) with all-round excellence admitted to one of the below full-time one-year taught postgraduate business programmes:

Note: The admission committee of each programme will evaluate each application thoroughly based on all the information submitted in the online application as well as the applicant’s interview  performance. Please note that the International Postgraduate Scholarship (IPS) is a competitive scholarship for highly-qualified international students. The programme office may offer a scholarship other than the IPS, or even no scholarships, to an admitted international student.

MAcc Diversity Contribution Scholarship

Details

The MAcc Diversity Contribution Scholarship, worth up to full tuition fee waiver, is awarded to new entrants who can enhance the diversity of the programme. Applicants are assessed on a broad range of criteria, including international exposure, cultural experiences, overseas education, work experience, special achievements and talents etc.

The MAcc programme will commence in September 2024.

HKBU Alumni Entrance Award

Details

The HKBU Alumni Entrance Award aims to encourage our HKBU bachelor’s degree graduates to pursue continuous learning. This award is worth HK$8,000 and is available for up to two top alumni admitted to the MHRM programme (both full-time and part-time modes), who have the highest cumulative GPA in their undergraduate study.

Eligibility:

  • HKBU bachelor’s degree alumni; and
  • Limited to the top two alumni with the highest cumulative GPA in their undergraduate study; and
  • Overall degree standing should not be lower than Second Class Honours Division I.

The MHRM programme will commence in September 2024.

MScAAF Diversity Contribution Scholarship

Details

The MScAAF Diversity Contribution Scholarship is awarded to new entrants who can enhance the diversity of the programme. Applicants are assessed on a broad range of criteria, including international exposure, cultural experiences, overseas education, work experience, special achievement and talents. The scholarship amount ranges from half tuition fee waiver to full tuition fee waiver.

MScAAF Entrance Scholarship / Young Talent Scholarship

Details

These Scholarships, ranging from HK$20,000 to HK$80,000, will be provided to full-time students with outstanding academic backgrounds and public examination results. For the entrance scholarship, only applicants who have submitted the completed applications before the first-round admission deadline will be considered.

 

The MScAAF programme will commence in September 2024.

Details

The MScAECON Entrance Scholarship, worth up to full tuition fee waiver, will be offered each year to the most outstanding applicants.

Details

The MScBM Diversity Contribution Scholarship is awarded to new entrants who can enhance the diversity of the programme. The scholarship amount ranges from HK$50,000 to full tuition fee waiver.

The MScBM programme will commence in September 2024.

The MScDABE Entrance Scholarship, worth up to full tuition fee waiver, will be offered each year to the most outstanding applicants.

MScEGM Admission Scholarships

Details

Scholarships of HK$25,000 to HK$50,000 will be granted to new entrants with a GMAT score at 650 or above.

Scholarships of HK$10,000 to HK$50,000 will be granted to new entrants with a business plan of high potential.

Note: Scholarships are offered on a case-by-case basis and subject to availability.

Lifelong Learning Award

Details

Degree graduates and Associate Degree graduates from HKBU, HKBU-CIE, HKBU-SCE and BNU-HKBU-UIC are entitled to a Lifelong Learning Award of HK$10,000 if they are admitted to the MScEGM programme.

 

The MScEGM programme will commence in January 2025.
