Career Planning and Preparation
The MAcc Programme Office works with the Career Services Section of School of Business in providing with most up-to-date market information to current business students. It also organizes out-of-class career exposure for students and facilitates student's career growth through industry seminars and networking events.
To cope with the increasing graduate recruitment challenges, professional career development advice (e.g. face-to-face career coaching and business skills enhancement workshops) is offered to full-time business students by the Career Services Section of School of Business.
Recruitment talks
A wide range of recruitment events are held on campus to enable students to familiarize themselves with the procedures of job applications, recruitment processes, company profiles and job information. The talks are held between September to November and February to March every year. Job Search Skills workshop
To facilitate students' career planning and to equip them with the necessary job search skills, a series of business skills enhancement and career training workshops are organized by the Career Centre of HKBU as well as the Career Services Section of School of Business. The workshops include presentation skills, CV writing and interview skills, professional image and business etiquette, time management and etc. Registration details will be disseminated to students regularly.
Gateway To Big 4
Gateway to Big 4 seminar and one to one mock interview are jointly organised by the School of Business and HKBU School of Business Alumni Association (HKBUSBAA). This aims to provide our students with an overall know-how of the application process of Big 4 firms, successful tips from alumni who successfully received offers from Big 4 firms, and sharing of alumni from various area's of the Big 4 firms including assurance, tax and advisory.
In close collaborations with various alumni associations, a wide array of activities are organized to equip students with the practical knowledge, skills and connections required by the real-world business for building successful careers.
Career Advice and Counselling Service
To assist students in planning for future career and give students a deeper understanding of themselves, the Career Centre of HKBU provides individual career counselling and advising services for students.
