Is there an admission interview?

No admission interview will be required for MScGMM. The Admissions will be based on the information applicants submit to the University of Sheffield.

Is there an application fee for admissions?

No application fee will be required for applying the MScGMM programme.

Do I need to travel to the United Kingdom and Hong Kong for the study?

Yes, you must study in the United Kingdom in Semester One and Hong Kong in Semester Two. This is a one year full time programme. The courses at University of Sheffield start in September and the courses at Hong Kong Baptist University start in the following January. Students will need to arrive in both places according to the study schedule.

Where shall I do the Dissertation?

The dissertation is the final project for this programme. It’s an individual project. Students can submit a topic and a supervisor will be assigned either from Hong Kong Baptist University or Sheffield to supervise the project production. A student can communicate with the supervisor either in person, or through the internet such as email or Skype. So, you can do the Dissertation in any part of the world. However, we still highly recommend students to have occasional face to face meetings with their supervisors.

How many graduation certificate and award will I get upon completion of the programme?

Only one graduation certificate will be issued, with the names and logos of both universities on it. The title awarded is “Master of Science in Global Marketing Management”.

Do I need to submit any document(s) to Hong Kong Baptist University for application?

No. All documents must be submitted to the University of Sheffield.

When and How do I apply for Hong Kong student visa?

The Hong Kong Baptist University office will email to all MScGMM students to notify them for Hong Kong student visa application. The application will be centralized and processed through Hong Kong Baptist University (Application fee HKD450). Students need not apply on their own.

What is the estimated cost of living in Hong Kong?

It costs around HKD8,000 -11,000 (approximately USD 1,000 – 1,400) per month in Hong Kong including the rental of a shared flat (HKD5,000-7,000), basic food (HKD2,000-3,000) and public transportation (HKD1,000).
