The Business for Good Networking Showcase turns HKBU School of Business social research into real-world impact. Bridging BBA social projects with alumni social enterprises, the showcase pairs next-gen changemakers with investors, executives, and corporate leaders to fuel the growth of high-potential ventures.

Eligibility

Individual or team led by HKBU BBA students or BBA bona fide alumni
 

 

Submission Mechanism and Requirements

Your team must submit the following four components via the submission portal:

  1. Completed Application Form
  2. Pitch Deck (Maximum 10 Slides): PDF version of your presentation 
     

 

Vetting Criteria

Applications will be evaluated holistically based on:

  • Vision and Social Impact
  • Sustainability and Operating Model
  • Innovativeness
  • Project Management
  • Proof of Concept
  • Submission Deadline

  • Preliminary Round of Pitches
    Early December 2026
    Selected teams will be invited to present their projects to the vetting panel

  • Finalists Announced
    December 2026
    Vetting panel selects the finalist teams to advance to the live showcase

  • Business for Good Networking Showcase
    March 23, 2027 (Tuesday)

By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge and agree to the Terms & Conditions.

  • Each individual or team may submit only one entry for the event. If multiple submissions are received from the same individual or team, only the last valid entry submitted before the submission deadline will be considered for judging. All previous submissions will be disregarded.

  • All submissions must be the original work of the participant(s). Any entry found to be plagiarised, infringing on the intellectual property rights of others, or containing content that is obscene, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate, will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the School.

  • All external content must have proper authorisation or licensing.

  • By entering, participants agree to allow HKBU School of Business to use their name, programme of study, and likeness for promotional purposes related to the competition.

  • Personal data collected will be used for administering the event and handled in accordance with the University's Privacy Policy.

  • By submitting an entry, participants grant HKBU School of Business rights to use, edit, and share partial or full parts of their submitted materials for marketing purposes.

  • The School retains the authority to make all final decisions regarding the selection.

  • All decisions made by the vetting panel about submissions and finalists are final and cannot be changed or appealed.

  • The School reserves the right, under exceptional circumstances, to modify the rules, deadlines, or to cancel the event if necessary.

  • The School assumes no responsibility for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected submissions.
