HKBU School of Business Welcomes New Cohort of International Students

Around 100 international business students, exchange students and staff members celebrated the new school year at a tea party on 12 September 2023. New joiners of the HKBU School of Business enjoyed a welcoming time mingling with supportive faculty members and global peers with a series of exciting events awaiting in the year ahead.

Greeting the students on behalf of the School, Prof. Gerard Prendergast, Associate Dean (Internationalisation), HKBU School of Business, encouraged students to immerse and integrate themselves with new people and new things. “Stepping out of the comfort zone is very important for becoming a whole person as advocated here at HKBU. We hope you will learn from each other’s similarities and differences, integrate with the local communities and take risks during your time here, so as to create a win-win situation for everyone studying in this institution of rich and diverse cultures.”

This year, undergraduate and postgraduate students from 45 countries and regions from around the world have joined the HKBU School of Business, ready to take on new challenges and create their unique learning experience in Hong Kong and beyond.
