The HKBU School of Business has been honoured with an award at the QS-Wharton Reimagine Education Awards 2022 for the Master of Science in Finance (Fintech & Financial Analytics) [MScFIN] programme.
The QS-Wharton Reimagine Education Awards – the ‘Oscars’ in the education sector – aim to celebrate and reward the world’s most successful educational innovations enhancing student learning outcomes and employability. Under the Future of Universities category, the MScFIN programme received the Bronze Award in the Digital Readiness Category (Data analytics, security, privacy, equity), for providing the best programme or approach to supporting digital readiness now and in the future.
Prof. Aris Stouraitis, Programme Director of the MScFIN, said, “We are thankful for this international recognition, which reflects our commitment in nurturing market-ready talents and the impact the programme has brought to our graduates and the FinTech industry. With the rise of disruptive technologies especially in the finance sector, we will continuously prepare our students to respond early and effectively to ride the digital wave, and take advantage of the new opportunities it brings along.”
Co-organised by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), compilers of the World University Rankings, and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, the Awards this year attracted 1,200 applicants from around the world, competing in 18 main categories and in seven regions.
