The School is delighted to announce that Lawrence Sze Lok CHOI, a PhD student at the HKBU School of Business, has been honoured with the prestigious AMA HigherEd SIG Doctoral Student Research Grant for 2024. This recognition is awarded by the American Marketing Association's Higher Education Special Interest Group, and Lawrence is one of only six recipients this year.
Lawrence's innovative research proposal, titled "Synergies of Creativity: Unraveling the Influence of Designer-AI Team on Design Authenticity and Consumer Responses" stood out among numerous applications. His study explores the dynamic interplay between human creativity and artificial intelligence in design processes, and its impact on design authenticity and consumer responses.
The grant will support Lawrence's research, enabling him to delve deeper into the synergies between designers and AI, which has the potential to inform future design practices. We congratulate Lawrence on receiving this competitive award.
