HKBU School of Business Awarded Multiple Honours at China MBA Annual Conference

On 7th December 2024, the 16th China MBA Annual Conference and 2024 Business School Annual Ceremony took place in Dalian, attracting nearly 276 universities and over 1,400 academic and business leaders, setting a record for attendance. Representing the HKBU MBA (China) Alumni Association, President Jiaqi FAN and 8 alumni representatives actively engaged in discussions on new productivity development and international expansion strategies.

The HKBU School of Business received multiple accolades at the conference, underscoring its commitment to excellence and social responsibility. The school was honoured with the “2024 China Business School Annual Social Responsibility Brand Award”, recognising its dedication to nurturing socially responsible business leaders and promoting sustainable development. Additionally, the school’s innovative “MBA HUB” initiative was named one of the “Top Ten Brand Activities of China MBA”, raised for providing a dynamic platform for students to network, share experiences, and explore cutting-edge business concepts.

Dr. Monique Shui-ki WAN, Associate Dean (Taught Postgraduate Studies), and Director of the MBA Programme, received the “China MBA Education Contribution Award” for her long-standing dedication to MBA education. Prof. Xu HUANG, Associate Dean (Research), was awarded the “2024 China Business School Annual Social Responsibility Excellence Leader Award” for his outstanding academic achievements and commitment to social responsibility. While Prof. Liqun WEI, from the Department of Management, Marketing and Information Systems, was recognised as an “Outstanding MBA Mentor” for her extensive teaching experience and dedication to student guidance.

HKBU MBA students and alumni also excelled at the conference, winning several awards including the “2024 China MBA Entrepreneurial Achievement Award”, the “2024 China MBA Outstanding Leader Award”, the “2024 China MBA New 100”,the “Excellence Alumni”, “Outstanding Organisation Award” and “Outdoor Star Award”.

The recognition received at the 16th China MBA Annual Conference and 2024 Business School Annual Ceremony underscores the school's role in shaping future business leaders and its dedication to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and community engagement.
