HKBU BBA Accounting Students and Graduates Honoured at HKICPA Student Awards 2025

The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) honoured four exceptional students and graduates from the HKBU School of Business at its Student Awards 2025. The Institute hosted the “Connect & Celebrate” event on 27 September 2025 at its own Auditorium, gathering industry leaders to recognise rising talent.

These highly-competitive awards serve as a strong endorsement of the recipients’ academic excellence, leadership potential, and future promise in the accounting profession. The Qualification Programme (QP) Scholarship provides a full fee waiver for the HKICPA QP, covering all associated costs including the application fee, annual student fee, exemption fees, and examination fees. The HKICPA Scholarship includes a financial award of HK$6,000 to support recipients’ ongoing academic pursuits.

The distinguished awardees from the School are:

Qualification Programme (QP) Scholarship 2025 Recipients:

  • Ms. Chui Yan TANG (BBA graduate in Accountancy, 2025)
  • Mr. Zhexu BAO (BBA graduate in Accountancy, 2025)

HKICPA Scholarship 2024–25 Recipients:

  • Ms. Mehzabin MALIHA (Year-4 BBA student in Accountancy)
  • Mr. Zhenghe WU (Year-4 BBA student in Accountancy)

The ceremony featured inspiring speeches by Mr. Joseph H.L. CHAN, JP, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury HKICPA President Mr. Edward AU.

The School extends its congratulations to the four awardees for this outstanding recognition and wishes them continued success in their promising careers.
