A group of taught postgraduate (TPg) students from the HKBU School of Business gained firsthand exposure to the world of global talent management during an exclusive visit to Hays Hong Kong on 29th April, 2025. Held at the world-leading recruitment firm’s impressive offices on the 66th floor of the International Commerce Centre (ICC), the visit provided an inside look into the professional practices of a top-tier industry player.

Organised by the School’s Mainland and Global Engagement Section (MGES), the visit was part of the School’s ongoing efforts to connect classroom learning with real-world business practice. The afternoon began with an immersive introduction to Hays' global operations and vibrant company culture. Students learned about the firm’s mission to forge lifelong partnerships that empower both people and businesses.

A highlight of the visit was a practical workshop on interview mastery. Hays professionals shared insider strategies on how to move beyond a resume and present oneself with confidence and impact. Students found the session valuable, noting that the advice would be instrumental in their future career journeys.

The event concluded with an informal networking session, where students had the chance to speak directly with Hays staff. They soaked up first-hand advice, gaining insights into the realities of working in a fast-paced, international business environment.

The School extends its sincere thanks to Hays Hong Kong for hosting this meaningful experiential learning opportunity that bridges academic learning with real-world exposure.
