On 15 October 2025, a kick-off party for the Career Ignition Programme (CIP) was hosted by the CareerLink@BUS under the Career and Alumni Engagement Section (CAES) to welcome the talented cohort of 150 year-three and year-four undergraduates and master’s students.

With a growing cohort, the section is committed to ensuring that every member of the CIP feels supported and empowered as they navigate their career-focused professional development ahead. The aim is to foster a strong sense of community, where peers can share experiences, challenges, and successes, creating an environment conducive to personal and professional growth.

The kick-off party set an exciting tone for the year ahead, highlighted by the announcement of a new career development series for the CIP members. This upcoming series will tackle practical essentials, including strategies for building a standout LinkedIn profile, mastering interview etiquette, and navigating workplace boundaries for effective communication.

CAES welcomes the new cohort and looks forward to building close bonds through the upcoming exciting and fruitful workshops, coffee chats, and mentorship sessions. By offering these resources and fostering connections, the CIP aims to equip its members with the tools and confidence needed to thrive in their chosen paths.
