School of Business Confers Four MBA Alumni as Adjunct Professors

The School of Business proudly conferred four distinguished MBA alumni as Adjunct Professors, recognising their exceptional contributions and achievements in the business sector.  The honourees included Mr. Wo HUANG (MBA 2002), Chairman of Guangdong Wangtat Construction Investment Holding Group, Mr. Guoxiong LI (MBA 2003), Director of Guangzhou Luban Construction Technology Group, Miss Chunling ZHOU, BBS, JP (MBA 2004), Director of HK Yongan International Investment Co., Ltd., and Miss Suping WU (MBA 2014), Director and General Manager of Zhuhai Eulong Food Limited.

The “School of Business Adjunct Professor Conferment Ceremony cum MBA Alumni Sharing Forum” took place on 16th March 2025, officiated by Prof. Han ZHANG, Dean of the School of Business, Prof. Monique Shui-ki WAN, Associate Dean (Taught Postgraduate Studies) and Director of MBA Programme, Prof. Sunny WONG, Honorary University Fellow of HKBU and Prof. Bernard WU, Honorary Court Member of HKBU and Adjunct Professor of the School of Business.

Prof. ZHANG commenced the ceremony with welcoming remarks, stating, “This conferment is a testament to the exceptional achievements of our Adjunct Professors and reflects our sincere admiration for their extraordinary leadership and innovation. As exemplary alumni of the School, they are a source of immense pride for us. We hope this initiative will inspire more alumni and current students to follow in their footsteps, bringing vitality and wisdom to the School's development.” He expressed confidence that the Adjunct Professors, with their profound practical experience and cutting-edge management insights, would offer invaluable guidance to students and alumni, empowering them to navigate future business challenges successfully.

Following the conferment ceremony, the MBA alumni sharing forum, themed “Crossing Industry Barriers: Practical Wisdom in Leadership and Management Innovation”, showcased insightful presentations from three Adjunct Professors. Prof. Guoxiong LI discussed leadership, drawing from his experience in the building technology sector, emphasising resilience and strategic vision. Prof. Suping WU shared her journey in the food industry, focusing on brand autonomy and innovation management, highlighting self-recognition, choice, and persistence are key factors for success. Prof. Wo HUANG offered insights on organisational development in new urbanisation, stressing the importance of employee growth and cultural development.

The forum provided participants with valuable perspectives on industry trends and strategies for sustainable business development, allowing attendees to engage directly with the adjunct professors and deepen their understanding of business management.

This event not only celebrated the four distinguished MBA alumni but also established a vital platform for collaboration between the School and business leaders. By appointing Adjunct Professors, the School has created a dynamic environment integrating academia with practice, invigorating the School's development and inspiring students in business management and career advancement.
