Game On! HKBU School of Business and CFA Institute Bring ESG Investing to Life

The HKBU School of Business recently teamed up with the CFA Institute to bring the often-abstract world of ESG investing to life in a dynamic new way. Forget dry lectures – nearly 30 students from various HKBU faculties recently experienced ESG firsthand at the high-energy and interactive “Know ESG Game Show”.

Led by Mr. David von EIFF, Director of Global Industry Standards at the CFA Institute, the interactive quiz challenged students to put their knowledge of ESG terminology, methodology, and principles to the test in a fun, competitive environment. The palpable enthusiasm in the room spoke volumes about the growing student interest in sustainable finance.

Beyond the game, Mr. Scott LEE, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at the CFA Institute, offered a valuable glimpse into the burgeoning world of ESG careers and professional certifications, highlighting the significance of the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.

The event culminated in a thought-provoking interview with Dr. Aries WONG, Associate Director, Centre for Sustainable Development Studies, and David Mr. von EIFF. Their insightful discussion explored the multifaceted role of ESG in today’s business landscape and its implications for the next generation of professionals.
