HKBU School of Business Students and Alumni Shine at ACCA Hong Kong Awards

HKBU School of Business students and alumni excelled at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Hong Kong’s annual Achievers Celebration Reception cum Award Presentation, held on 11 July 2026 at the ACCA Hong Kong office.

Three outstanding individuals were recognised for their exceptional performance in the December 2025 examination session:

  • Dr Bu Loufan, PhD alumnus in Accounting (2025), received the Top Score Paper Winner Award in Financial Reporting, recognising his mastery of one of the most rigorous ACCA papers.
  • Mr Thein Aung Myo, BBA alumnus in Economics and Data Analytics (2024), earned the First Strider Award in Audit and Assurance for his exceptional performance.
  • Mr Choi Hung-fung, Year 3 BBA student in Accounting, was awarded the ACCA Hong Kong Scholarship, which supports promising students committed to the accounting profession.

Dr Man Ko, Senior Lecturer and Associate Head (Teaching), Department of Accountancy, Economics and Finance (AEF), attended the ceremony to congratulate the awardees.

The School congratulates all award recipients and reaffirms its dedication to developing future business leaders.
