On 27 August 2026, HKBU School of Business held the Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) (BBA) Programme Orientation Day for the 2026–27 academic year, welcoming more than 530 new students, including 37 international students from across Asia, the United States, and beyond. The event introduced the School’s academic programmes, resources, and community, marking the beginning of the students’ undergraduate journey.

Professor Zhang Han, Dean and Chair Professor of the School, delivered the opening remarks, encouraging students to embrace the transformative journey ahead, remain curious, and actively participate in exchanges, internships, and competitions.

Dr Lucia Fung, BBA Programme Director, followed with a comprehensive academic briefing, outlining the curriculum structure and sharing guidance on university life. Additional presentations were delivered by Mr Ryan Man, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies), and Dr Joyce Kong, Associate Director of the BBA Programme, who highlighted experiential learning opportunities, e-learning resources, and the Double Degree Programme.

Guest speakers from the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre, the General Education Office, the Language Centre, and the International Office introduced students to the wide range of university resources and global learning opportunities available.

The Orientation Day concluded with a campus‑wide scavenger hunt, where students collaborated in teams to explore key locations and engage in creative challenges. The activity fostered teamwork and connection, reflecting the School’s spirit of diversity, innovation, and community.

The School looks forward to cultivating this new cohort into the next generation of business leaders.
