Participants gain practical strategies and confidence to embark on their career journeys.
On 13 October 2026, HKBU School of Business hosted BizGlobal Night 2026, bringing together more than 70 non-local students for an evening of networking, cultural exchange, and community building.
The evening commenced with welcoming remarks from Professor Zhang Han, Dean and Chair Professor of the School, who highlighted the value of diversity and global perspectives in enriching the School community. “We take immense pride in our global community,” he said. “Look around this room: each of you brings a unique perspective and story that enriches us all.”
Mr Ryan Man, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies), also encouraged students to embrace new experiences, step beyond their comfort zones, and make the most of the opportunities available throughout their university journey.
Designed to promote interaction among students from different cultural backgrounds, the event featured a lively Bingo ice-breaking activity and a Hong Kong-style buffet. Through engaging conversations and interactive games, participants built new friendships, exchanged ideas, and shared their experiences of studying and living in Hong Kong.
A highlight of the evening was the alumni sharing session, where two graduates offered valuable insights drawn from their professional and personal journeys:
Mr Romeo Chu, Founder and Managing Director of Talent Pro Recruitment, shared practical advice on navigating Hong Kong’s employment landscape, offering students perspectives on career development and job opportunities in the city.
Drawing on her rich journey at HKBU, Ms Habiba Abdur Rahman Butt gave actionable tips on how to fully leverage university resources to enrich their background and build a standout profile.
The School extends its appreciation to all participants, alumni, and colleagues whose support contributed to the success of the event and helped create a memorable evening for everyone involved.
