HKBU School of Business Students and Graduate Honoured at HKICPA Student Awards 2026

Three outstanding members of the HKBU School of Business community have been recognised for their exceptional academic performance and professional potential at the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) Student Awards 2026. The awards were presented at the “Future-Ready Talent” event on 19 September 2026, held at the HKICPA Auditorium.

Hosted by the Institute, the ceremony brought together industry leaders and accounting professionals to celebrate the next generation of talent. The highly competitive awards serve as a strong endorsement of the recipients’ academic excellence, leadership qualities, and future promise in the accounting profession.

The awardees from the HKBU School of Business are:

  • Qualification Programme (QP) Scholarship 2026

    • Ms Fung Dao Wen (BBA in Accountancy, Class of 2026)

  • HKICPA Scholarship 2025–26

    • Mr Ji Zhixuan (Year 4 BBA student in Accountancy)

    • Ms Beverly Yeung Hei-pui (Year 4 BBA student in Accountancy)

The QP Scholarship provides a full fee waiver for the HKICPA Qualification Programme, covering all associated costs including application, student, exemption, and examination fees. The HKICPA Scholarship includes a financial award of HK$6,000 to support the recipients' ongoing academic pursuits.

The ceremony featured inspiring speeches by Mr Joseph H.L. Chan, JP, Under Secretary for Financial Services, and Mr Arthur Lee MH, Chief Executive and Registrar of the HKICPA.

Dr Man Ko, Senior Lecturer and Associate Head (Teaching), Department of Accountancy, Economics and Finance (AEF), represented the School at the event. He extended congratulations to the three awardees for this recognition and wishes them continued success in their promising careers.
