Two MBA alumni from HKBU School of Business, Mr Ivan Wong Siu-kei (MBA 2007) and Ms Zhou Chunling (MBA 2004), were among five recipients of the Honorary University Fellowship conferred by Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). The 21st Conferment Ceremony was held on 16 September 2026, recognising their outstanding professional achievements and significant contributions to society.

Professor Alexander Ping-kong Wai , President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, officiated the ceremony alongside Dr Kennedy Y H Wong, Chairman of the Council and the Court of HKBU. In his remarks, Professor Wai commended the Fellows for their resilience and dedication to advancing the community, noting that their achievements reflect the University’s mission of “Faith and Perseverance”.

Mr Ivan Wong Siu-kei: Strategic Visionary and Advocate for Youth Development

As Vice Chairman of Kum Shing Group, a leading company in Hong Kong's infrastructure sector, Mr Ivan Wong Siu-kei has been instrumental in advancing the city's energy and transportation networks. Beyond his corporate leadership, he is a dedicated contributor to public governance, education, and cultural development, playing a key role in strengthening Hong Kong's integration with national development strategies.

Since graduating from the MBA programme in 2007, Mr Wong has maintained a close relationship with the University. He currently serves as Court Member, Member of the Board of Governors, and Co-Chairman of the Young Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation. Through the “Wong Kam Fai & Wong Kwok Keung Foundation”, he has established scholarships to support HKBU students in internships across the Chinese Mainland and Belt and Road countries, fostering global perspectives and youth empowerment. His contributions highlight his commitment to education and his vision for nurturing future leaders.

Ms Zhou Chunling: Entrepreneurial Leader and Advocate for International Cooperation

Ms Zhou Chunling, Director of HK Yongan International Investment Company Limited, has built a successful international enterprise in timber trading and processing, while promoting environmental protection and sustainable development. Her entrepreneurial journey, marked by resilience and determination, has positioned her as a leader in fostering multinational trade and cooperation.

An alumna of the MBA programme in 2004, Ms Zhou has remained actively engaged with the University. She founded the HKBU MBA (China) Alumni Association Shenzhen Chapter and served as its first President, strengthening alumni connections and advancing the School’s presence in the Greater Bay Area. In 2025, she was appointed Adjunct Professor by the School of Business in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the business sector. Her extensive public service record, including membership in the CPPCC National Committee and leadership roles in numerous associations, underscores her commitment to social responsibility and national development.
