The outstanding performance of four faculty members from HKBU School of Business in teaching, scholarly work, and service was honoured at the President’s Award 2026, a university-wide recognition.  

These awards reflect the School's ongoing efforts to maintain high academic standards, promote innovative approaches, and contribute to society through business education.

President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Team Teaching

Dr Dimple Thadani, Department of Management, Marketing and Information Systems (MMIS)

Dr Thadani was recognised for her contribution to the design of the interdisciplinary General Education course titled Critical AI Literacies: Embracing AI for Social Good. The course integrates perspectives from business, computer science, communication, and visual arts, equipping students with ethical AI competencies for the digital age.

President’s Award for Outstanding Performance as Early Career Researcher

Professor Zhang Jian, Department of Accountancy, Economics and Finance (AEF)

Professor Zhang’s research in financial accounting, auditing, and banking has earned him this prestigious award. His work on credit information sharing, sustainability disclosure, and audit quality has been published in leading journals, influencing both academia and policy.

School Performance Award in Early Career Teaching

Professor Liu Zheng, Department of Accountancy, Economics and Finance (AEF)

Professor Liu enhances student learning by incorporating data visualisation and Python programming into his courses, bridging theory and practical application. His research focuses on empirical capital markets, corporate financial reporting, and ESG performance.

School Performance Award in Teaching (Individual)

Professor Liu Jing, Department of Accountancy, Economics and Finance (AEF)

Professor Liu’s expertise in data analytics and computer-mediated communication enriches her teaching. Beyond academia, she contributes to public discourse through media commentary, demonstrating the real-world relevance of her research.
