On 27 April 2026, HKBU School of Business hosted the Student Ambassador Programme Commissioning Ceremony, marking a new chapter for the scheme. This year, 35 new ambassadors joined after completing a Leadership Training Camp and a series of workshops, which equipped them to serve as student helpers and masters of ceremonies at upcoming events such as Information Day, Orientation Day, and outreach activities with secondary school students.

Mr Ryan Man, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies) and Director of the BBA programme, and Dr Lucia Fung, Associate Director of the BBA programme and Coordinator of the Student Ambassador Programme, shared words of encouragement that affirmed the ambassadors’ role in fostering engagement and leadership. The ceremony also honoured graduating ambassadors for their dedication and contributions.

A highlight of the Ceremony was the recognition of Ms Shoon Lae Lae Oo (BBA Marketing, Year 4) and Mr Ryan Lam (BBA Finance & IS Business Intelligence, Year 4) as Student Ambassadors of the Year, applauding their outstanding service as representatives, event helpers, and masters of ceremonies.

The event celebrated not only achievements but also the friendships and growth that define the Student Ambassador journey, demonstrating how the School actively equips students with the mindset and skills through real-world opportunities to lead meaningfully.
