From 14 to 16 July 2026, HKBU School of Business hosted the BBA Summer Day Camp, bringing together 50 students from 28 local secondary schools to explore sustainable tourism through fieldwork, design thinking, and 3D printing.

Day 1: Tai O Adventures

The camp opened with a lecture by Mr Ryan Man, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies) and BBA Programme Director, titled “Tourists, Money, and Hidden Impacts: The Real Game of Tourism – How Do We Win at Sustainable Tourism Together?”. Following the session, students visited the Tai O Heritage Hotel, fishing village, stilt houses, and joined a salted egg workshop, gaining first‑hand insights into cultural heritage and sustainability.

Day 2: Game Development

At the HKBU Library CollabTech Commons, students worked in teams to design games on responsible travel. Guided by Mr Vince Siu, Founder and CEO of Press Start Academy, the Game Jam training applied design thinking and digital tools to bring their ideas to life.

Day 3: Pitch and Celebration

Teams presented their projects to a judging panel, followed by a Game Jam Arcade where participants played each other’s games and voted for their favourites. The camp concluded with a high table dinner and award presentation ceremony, celebrating students’ creativity and collaboration.

The Summer Day Camp provided an immersive learning experience that connected cultural exploration with innovation, showcasing the School’s positioning to nurturing future‑ready business leaders who think globally, act responsibly, and innovate boldly.
