On 8 August 2026, representatives from HKBU School of Business joined the 8th Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Forum, hosted by the Institute of Accountants Exchange (IAE). The forum, held in celebration of IAE’s 20th anniversary, convened leading industry professionals, government officials, and student representatives from local universities to explore future opportunities for youth development, Hong Kong’s role as a “super‑connector” and “super value‑adder,” the city’s potential in the sports and mega economy, and the application of artificial intelligence in building future business teams.
Ms Liana Ho, President of the Society of Accountancy AY2026–27 and Year‑2 BBA Accountancy student, attended alongside Society committee members and Dr Man Ko, Advisor of the Society of Accountancy AY2026–27, Senior Lecturer and Associate Head (Teaching) of the Department of Accountancy, Economics and Finance. A highlight of the event was the launch of the Youth Development Partnership Programme, where Ms Ho was presented with a commemorative plaque by Mr Chris Tang, President of IAE, in recognition of her active engagement in youth development initiatives.
Through the Programme, Ms Ho will collaborate with peers from other local universities to strengthen inter‑university ties and raise awareness of the evolving professional landscape in accounting and finance across the Greater Bay Area.
Attending in support of the students, Dr Man Ko praised their contributions and encouraged all BBA students to be proactive in innovation and professional development. His message reflects the School’s commitment to shaping students into exceptional connectors and contributors who add significant value to the business communities in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
