TPg Winter & Summer Abroad Financial Support Scheme

To enrich the global learning experience of BUS taught postgraduate students, the HKBU School of Business offers the TPg Winter & Summer Abroad Financial Support Scheme to facilitate their participation in international short-term programmes. The Scheme operates on a reimbursement basis ONLY. Funds will be disbursed upon successful completion of the programme and verification of all required supporting documents. Incomplete or delayed submissions may result in processing delays or forfeiture of reimbursement.

Sponsorship Tiers (Maximum Amount of Reimbursement):

  1. For programmes in Asia: Up to HK$5,000 per student. 
  2. For programmes in Europe, Americas and other non-Asian destinations: Up to HK$10,000 per student.

How to Apply
 
  • Direct Application: Students interested in winter/ summer abroad programmes should submit their online applications directly to the host institutions.
  • Document & Visa Support: If you require official supporting documents for your programme or visa application, please email us at busd-global@hkbu.edu.hk.

Essential Requirements & Reminders
 
  • Comprehensive Insurance (Mandatory): HKBU insurance does not cover personal accidents, medical expenses, or personal travel during overseas programmes. You must purchase comprehensive travel and medical insurance for the entire duration of your trip prior to departure.
  • Visa & Travel Documents: Students are individually responsible for obtaining valid entry visas, passports, and fulfilling host country medical requirements..
  • Academic Credit Transfer: Course mapping and credit transfer approvals must be processed through your respective TPg Programme Office prior to departure to ensure successful credit fulfillment..
