19 May, 2020
img Student teams from the Nurturing Social Minds (NSM) Programme at HKBU partnered with three social enterprises to develop funding proposals and compete for a grant of HK$250,000 from the Yeh Family Philanthropy. A team of nine undergraduate and postgraduate students from HKBU won a grant for their partner social enterprise – Just Feel. The team, together with two other competing teams, pitched their ideas via online presentations on how to improve the social impact and financial performance of their respective social venture partners.

The students partnering with Just Feel, a social enterprise that works with schools and teachers to help improve the mental health of students in Hong Kong, successfully pitched their idea for an online platform that incorporates mental health learning activities into the school curriculum. The Just Feel team, together with two other teams representing social enterprises Festyle and Rinato, impressed the judges and guests from HKBU and the wider social entrepreneurship community with their compelling business plans and brilliant presentation skills.
The Just Feel team comprised the following HKBU students: LAI Chui Yan Vivian (BBA - MKT), NGAN Chun Lok Jason (BBA - HRM), LAM Wing In Andrea (BCom MKT), LAU Ming Yuk Jade (BCom MKT), LAU Sin Ling Becky (BCom MKT), NG Li Sze Jacqulin (BCom MKT), CHENG Chi Ching Benny (BCom HRM), LIU Yiying Joan (MSocSc in Media Management), and WU Yu Sophie (MSocSc in Media Management).
