img Jeremiah Lee Gong-kuen (BBA Applied Economics, Year 3) teamed up with other HKBU students and won the first runner-up prize with their project Foodi at the A.I. Future Tense InnoTech Solutions Pitching competition, part of the HSBC Future Skills Development Project.

"Knowing that technological improvement is the only way for sustainable economic growth, and this is especially true in business,” said Jeremiah, “I actively seek opportunity to take courses from the school that helps me understand more about technology, and incorporating them in competitions that I enter" said Jeremiah. The team harnessed their knowledge to create an app, Foodi. The app makes personalised food recommendations after analysing one’s health conditions.

The competition gathered 29 teams from the tertiary institutions in Hong Kong to come up with solutions to daily life problems with future skills like creativity, digital knowledge, design and critical thinking.
