There is no place like home for the holidays, and the festive season served the best reason for the HKBU School of Business to call for a reunion with alumni and friends of HKBU.  A cocktail reception was held on 11 December 2017 (Monday) in Admiralty, with over 100 alumni across cohorts and programmes, friends and fellows of HKBU attending.

Co-organised by the HKBU School of Business and the School of Business Alumni Association (SBAA), the event provided alumni with the perfect setting to reconnect with classmates and faculty, and network with new friends from their alma mater.

The evening was kicked off by the President Professor Roland Chin welcoming all alumni and guests, “Alumni define the University. If you do well, we do well. I encourage all of you to keep thinking outside of the box, doing more of different things and be successful in different aspects.”

Dean of the School of Business, Professor Ed Snape, shared with alumni the key highlights of the School’s latest achievements and developments. “It’s been a fruitful year for our students, faculty members and alumni. We are moving strongly into the entrepreneurship and innovation fields, taking on board new technology, AI and data analytics. We think internationalisation is critical and we are doing it, building strong international recognition by being re-accredited successfully in the last two to three years by AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. Last but not least, we have wonderful and active alumni with strong involvement in the School’s activities.”
