HKBU School of Business reaccredited by EQUIS for a five-year term

img HKBU School of Business has recently been reaccredited by EQUIS for a further five years, the maximum term possible.

The School was applauded for the significant developments implemented since the last reaccreditation in 2019. EQUIS was particularly impressed by the quality of the learning environment and the focus on the ethos of whole-person education. EQUIS suggested that alumni and a variety of stakeholders speak highly of the centrality the School assigns to the students’ learning experience, including career support and research-based teaching.

“EQUIS provides us with an opportunity to benchmark against the highest international standards,” said Prof. Ed Snape, Dean of the HKBU School of Business. “The reaccreditation reflects the School’s commitment to enhancing students’ learning and development, to research excellence and to engaging with our alumni and the wider community. We are delighted to receive this prestigious five-year reaccreditation and we aim to build on this in taking the School forward.”

EQUIS stands for European Quality Improvement System. Its in-depth assessment processes ensure that institutions demonstrate not only excellence and innovation in all activities but also a high degree of internationalisation, a commitment to ethics, responsibility and sustainability, and strong connections with practice.

The School has been accredited by EQUIS since 2013, and is currently one of only 108 business schools worldwide to hold triple accreditation from the three main accrediting bodies – EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA.
