img The MSc in Finance (FinTech and Financial Analysis) programme of the HKBU School of Business is recognised by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) in its “Privacy and Data Protection in Academia – A Global Guide to Curricula”. The guide highlights the universities that put an emphasis on data protection with privacy curricula.

With demand for qualified privacy professionals surging, the School has launched the MSc in Finance (FinTech and Financial Analysis) programme in 2019 to nurture future business leaders with sound technology knowledge. The inter-disciplinary programme covers finance, information systems and business intelligence fields co-delivered by academic faculty and industry practitioners. The School is among the few business schools worldwide and the only one in Asia-Pacific listed in the Guide, together with other prestigious universities including University of Chicago, New York University, McGill University and so on.

Two students, namely George Li and Adeola Oluokun, from the Programme have recently been named IAPP’s Westin Scholars for their potential to bring good work to the privacy and data protection field, and being seen as future leaders in the field. A total of 29 students from around the world have made it to the inaugural list this year.
