HKBU Confers Honorary University Fellowship on Mr. Sunny Wong Hak-kun

Mr. Sunny Wong Hak-kun, an outstanding entrepreneur and a distinguished alumnus of the HKBU School of Business, was awarded the Honorary University Fellowship at the HKBU 18th Honorary University Fellowship Conferment Ceremony on 21 September 2023, for his significant contributions to the business sector and wider society at large. Including Mr. Wong, seven individuals received the honour this year.
Mr. Wong is an iconic figure in the fast-moving consumer goods industry, and was the Chief Executive Officer of Carlsberg Greater China from 2006 to 2011 and Chairman from 2011 to 2014. From 2014 to 2019, he was the Executive Director of Tibet Water Resources Limited.
Mr. Wong has dedicated himself to different causes in the community, through his support of the underprivileged groups and endeavours to improve society. In addition, he has spared no efforts in nurturing young people. He is an Adjunct Professor in HKBU’s School of Business and an Industry Fellow with the “Business Entrepreneurship Support and Training Community” programme. He also led and supported many initiatives, such as workshops, lectures, forums and mentorship programmes of the University. He is currently an HKBU Court Member, and a member of the Board of Governors, the Chairman of the Alumni Committee, as well as an Honorary Director of the HKBU Foundation. Mr Wong has also served as an Adjunct Professor for universities in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan.
