The HKBU School of Business has received the Higher Education Champion award at LinkedIn Hong Kong’s annual flagship event and Talent Award Ceremony on 11th September, 2024. Mr. Ryan MAN, the Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies) & BBA (Hons) Programme Director, was honored to attend the ceremony as the representative of HKBU. This accolade highlights the School’s and its BBA Programme’s outstanding efforts in advocating e-Learning and nurturing future-ready students through innovative e-learning requirements.

As part of this initiative, the BBA Programme has introduced a new e-Learning graduation requirement, mandating students to complete 40 hours on LinkedIn Learning. This move aims to encourage students to leverage online tools and engage in active learning tailored to their personal interests and career aspirations. LinkedIn Learning offers a variety of online lessons, varying in length and difficulty, focusing on essential skills needed in today’s dynamic job market. By incorporating blended learning, students can acquire the latest skills and knowledge anytime, anywhere.

The award ceremony, held at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center, celebrated the achievements of HR professionals and educational institutions that are leading the way in the evolving talent landscape. The event also featured discussions on trends, best practices, and innovative ideas. Prominent speakers shared insights on harnessing the power of people with AI, successful company transformations, and strategies for attracting young talents.

This recognition represents a significant milestone for both the School and the BBA Programme in their mission to groom future business leaders. It underscores the School’s dedication to high-quality micro-education and validates the successful introduction of these innovative learning methods to young people.
