A New Chapter Begins: BBA Orientation Day 2024

The HKBU BBA Office successfully hosted the BBA New Student Orientation Day on 29th August, 2024. Of the over 350 freshmen in this cohort, including around 30 international students from countries such as Canada, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, and Malaysia, more than 200 students participated in the orientation. The event featured a day filled with informative sessions and fun activities.

Programme Director Mr. Ryan MAN, along with Associate Directors Dr. Ludwig CHANG and Dr. Lucia FUNG, shared insights about the flexible curriculum and myriad opportunities awaiting students in the BBA programme. Throughout the day, students also engaged in insightful sessions presented by representatives from various parties, including the Language Centre, General Education Office, International Office, and the Mainland and Global Engagement Section. These informative talks equipped students with vital knowledge to navigate their academic paths effectively.

In the afternoon, the BBA Programme integrated online interactive tools to facilitate engaging group activities. From overcoming campus missions to fostering new friendships, students immersed themselves in a day filled with team-building and camaraderie. Team “Ten Out of Ten” emerged victorious, and the selected MVPs received prizes, ending the day on a high note with their new friends.

All respondents expressed satisfaction with the overall arrangement while over 95% agreed the event provided a deeper understanding of the curriculum, experiential activities, graduation requirements, and Student Ambassador scheme.
