On 4 June 2026, HKBU School of Business hosted a chocolate tasting workshop as part of the BUS Mentorship Programme , bringing students and industry mentors in a refreshing and engaging setting.
Held on campus in the evening, the event provided mentors and mentees with a welcoming environment that encouraged open dialogue and meaningful exchange. Participants explored flavour maps, joined a mystery tasting challenge, and most importantly, connected on a deeper level through shared stories, honest career advice, and plenty of laughter.
The workshop underscored the value of mentorship beyond structured agendas, demonstrating that some of the most impactful exchanges emerge through genuine and unhurried dialogue.
In his closing remarks, Mr Ryan Man, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies), shared: “Chocolate is like a mentor. It is something that we turn to when we need a little emotional comfort. And just like that, mentors are there to guide us through challenges when we feel stuck,” reinforcing mentorship as both a source of guidance and encouragement.
By reimagining mentorship through creative engagement, the School continues to strengthen the bridge between students and industry leaders — preparing future-ready professionals who learn not only from knowledge, but from genuine human connection.
