Wing Lung Bank International Institute for Business Development

Since its establishment in 1993, the Wing Lung Bank International Institute for Business Development (IIBD) is a global consortium of 18 universities. Its mission is to enhance international business education through collaborations. IIBD organises a range of activities, including its flagship case competition hosted by HKBU.

Established in 2008, the IIBD International Case Competition is a leading international case competition open to IIBD member and non-member universities worldwide. Over a thousand high-caliber business students from leading institutions around the globe have participated in this competition which serves as a unique learning platform for students to apply their knowledge, critical thinking, and creativity to solve real-life business issues. It also provides a great opportunity for participants to network with other teams and impactful industry professionals.

The IIBD International Case Competition 2024, with the theme "Water for the World," was co-organised by the School of Business of Hong Kong Baptist University and Windesheim University of Applied Sciences. This year, it attracted 51 teams from 20 countries/regions to participate in the First Round. After an intense showcase of wit, creativity, and innovative thinking by the six finalist teams on 7 November 2024, the Competition concluded successfully.
